​We all do this … we make excuses for the things we don’t want to do or deal with. We avoid those things like the plague, but they are still there! They don’t go away until we deal with them… so we end up prolonging our own torment. We do this with chores, tasks, work and even relationships. By participating in this behavior we are allowing those things to steal away our peace and happiness. ​So many things in our lies can leave us feeling trapped. We feel like we are stuck in some sort of deep pit with no way to get out of it. We need to be aware that the deep pit we see is nothing more than a thought. We aren’t really in some sort of physical hole. The hole is something the mind created. There are always options and solutions to every situation. We have to change our mindset and shift our focus.
